Famous for his “War of the Worlds”, this was the first film soundtrack he wrote for an absorbing account of the 1969 round Britain Powerboat Race. Shown repeatedly on BBC-2 during their colour test transmissions, the powerful soundtrack gathered a cult following. The B side features incidental music from another BBC-2 colour test film, “Highland Playground”.
